Over a varied 20 year career at The Birmingham Rep Theatre amongst others Andrew has designed and created wigs, make-up and hair designs for hundreds of productions including Cabaret, The Wizard of Oz, A Christmas Carol, East is East, The Witches, Noises Off, Of Mice and Men, Little Shop of Horrors, The Crucible and Peter Pan to name but a few.
Many of the shows Andrew has worked on have transferred to the West End and toured the UK and internationally, most notably 12 Angry Men, The Snowman (West End, UK tour and Korea), The Pajama Game (West End and Toronto),The Importance of Being Earnest (Toronto)and The Rocky Horror Show 25th Anniversary Tour .
Andrew has designed and created styles for countless actors and entertainers including Maureen Lipman, Dame Eileen Atkins, Jason Donovan, Rupert Everett , Martin Freeman , Jeff Fahey , Martin Shaw , Nick Moran ,Mark Williams, Gary Barlow, Stephanie Beacham , Charles Dance, Stephanie Powers , Josie Lawrence, Kelly McGillis, David Essex,Simon Callow, Anita Dobson and Matthew Kelly.
In addition to his skill as a Wigmaker Andrew is passionate about make-up and prosthetic creation and application. As an experienced lecturer Andrew likes to keep an active role in the education and promotion of make-up, wig making and the arts. Recently Andrew has become a certified State Registered Senior Hairdresser and committee member of NASMAH (National Association of Screen Make-up Artists and Hairdressers).
